Hip Hop Culture, what can I say, the most beautifullest thing in the world is just like that, Hip Hop has touched every corner of the globe, has changed hearts, saved lives and has inspired millions of kids, young adults and even the elderly to be the best they can be in any given moment, from generation to generation, Hip Hop creates stories and experiences in folks that are so immense.

Born in the one of the most impoverished and underserved places in the U.S. at the time, the south Bronx made something out of nothing and sparked a movement that would change the world forever.  Hip Hop is more than just a genre of music, it is a way of life, a mode of thinking, how one perceives their environment, it is empowering, invigorating and brings out the best in us.

If you were born in the 70’ or 80’s you witnessed Hip Hop in a different light than someone born in the 90’s or 2000’s, different experiences brings various perspectives within Hip Hop and they are all valuable and will be celebrated the weekend of August 10th/11th in the Twin Cities.

Minnesota has our identity, our own sound and our flag is strongly established, it doesn’t matter by who planted the flag or even what that means at this point in Hip Hop but it was by all of us that call this state home and who have contributed to this culture in one way, shape or form.

August 10th, Neil Taylor of True Headz Clothing and local Hip Hop Activist Reies Romero of Twin Cities DillaDay will bring the Legendary Hip-Hop Pioneer GrandMaster Caz for an in-depth Hip Hop presentation and Q&A along with an MC set which will all go down at the Nomad World Pub August 10th (9pm-2am).

Also performing is a very impressive line-up of local acts that will include renaissance man Niles of the Avant Garde, Minneapolis Mayor Big Wiz, the dynamic duo’s Sun & La and One Plus One (Orikal Uno & Dispute One), Producers and lyrical vets Soul Reflect and Katana Da Don, Twin Cities Hip Hop Pioneer Truth Maze, newcomer Juice Lord, all hosted by the one and only Rah Fyah.

DJ’s Huh? What?, Francisco and SoSupreme will be getting down Old School style which will bring back some memories, the night will be filled with all the Hip Hop elements represented to the fullest with love, peace, integrity and community as the feel of the night.
