TC Hip Hop Against Police Brutality

As Hiphop History Month came to a close we were fortunate enough to utilize the last Saturday of this celebrated month! As our Hip Hop Community based efforts grew with the energetic Twin Cities Hip Hop Against Police Brutality Benefit Concert we all came together in solidarity and aimed to help send support to Mike Brown's Family, Local Black Artists, a Black Liberation Organization in Ferguson, Save the Kids, along with taking our public spaces back.

TPT Discovered Truth Pic 1

As part of this years Hiphop History Month we continue to examine the Origins Of Hip Hop culture in this half hour documentary scheduled to air statewide Sunday, November 16th, 2014 @ 7pm on tptmn and uncovers why historically the African American community has been under and un-insured. As Hip Hop continues to look at Health, Love, Awareness, & Wealth this documentary follows the historic road of health insurance which has been rooted in isolation and from that a sense of self-reliance. But cultural changes in society, and dawning of the historical Affordable Care Act, there carries some surprises that we must take in to consideration and create further action.

This Minnesota Channel can be a bit hard to find, depending on how one gets their broadcast media. Below is link to info on where you can find this and future broadcast times.  It also has a 'where to watch us' tab that tells you where to find tptmn on various services.

The Minnesota Hip Hop Coalition would like to thank you for your interest and support for the many things that we have developing for all MN Hiphoppas. Currently The MN-HHC is opening up FREE submissions from MN Hiphoppas who would like to present their artwork and craft in a different light. We are seeking YOUR talent (music, artwork, photos, custom videos, scrapbook items, and more) to contribute for this project that will help expose a wider variety of what our MN Hip Hop Culture has to offer!

With October being the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, our goal now is to not only raise awareness about the importance of Hip Hop Culture on the development of peace, but to also show our truest desires for sustainable and peaceful change in our communities. We will start with the art and continue in to the lifestyle, culture, and movement side of Hip Hop with this project. We will also be securing radio airplay with college radio stations throughout the entire state of Minnesota for this album project.
